Frequently asked questions — Antibes

How many energy-inefficient homes are there in Antibes?

Of the 20,337 homes with a DPE (excluding generated DPEs) since 1 July 2021 whose DPE is valid on 25 August 2026, 710 are rated F or G (3.5%), including 137 rated G. At building age and type comparable to mainland France, the share would be 5.8%. These are homes with a DPE, not every home in the city.

How are homes in Antibes heated?

According to their DPEs, homes in Antibes are mainly heated by electricity (59%), natural gas (37%), heating oil (3.9%). In mainland France, electricity heats 50% of homes with a DPE and natural gas 36%.

Why are some DPEs in Antibes generated from the building?

21% of valid DPEs in Antibes were generated from the building's DPE, without a rating measured for the flat itself. The rules allow this for flats in an already-assessed building. These DPEs are counted separately on this page: they report F and G less often in older buildings, and almost never summer comfort.

What do DPEs in Antibes say about summer comfort?

93% of homes with a DPE in Antibes fill in the DPE's summer comfort section. Of these, 23% are rated insufficient, 58% average and 19% good. The fill-in rate varies widely: these figures describe DPEs that complete the section, not the whole city.
